12c New Feature: Multisection Incremental Backups


Prior 12c when you make incemental Backups with multisection this was not possible. RMAN Backups the hole Level 1 Backup with one channel.

Even i have configured parallel Backup only one channel is used for Backup.

In 12c you can now make incremental multisection backup which speed up your backup process. Here is a sample of the same backup process in 12c.

As you can see RMAN use more channels in the incremental multisection backup. The same example would work for Making Multisection Backups Using Image Copies also.
