oratop in batch mode

There is a small feature in oratop which allows you to start oratop in batch mode. This allows you to monitor your database without to know when your problem starts. Oratop can downloaded from MOS see Note 1500864.1 oratop – utility for near real-time monitoring of databases, RAC and Single Instance for more details. The Tool was also updated to support the new 12c database.

To start oratop in batch mode use the -b switch.

For example:

oratop -bdfi60  "/ as sysdba"

The example above use a intervall from 60 seconds. You can also redirect the output to a text file.

The Output you will get is something like this.
